Совокупность соединений проводящих частей, обеспечивающая уравнивание потенциалов между ними.
Примечание - Заземленная система уравнивания потенциалов является частью заземляющего устройства.

Система, предназначенная для осуществления уравнивания потенциалов.
Для осуществления уравнивания потенциалов в электроустановке здания и в здании необходимо смонтировать систему уравнивания потенциалов. Система уравнивания потенциалов, прежде всего, включает в себя проводники уравнивания потенциалов такие, например, как: специальные проводники, которые закладывают в бетонные стены, полы и потолки и используют для соединения между собой металлической арматуры; проводники, с помощью которых сторонние проводящие части присоединяют к главной заземляющей шине; проводники, посредством которых выполняют дополнительные соединения между сторонними проводящими частями, а также их соединения с открытыми проводящими частями. К системе уравнивания потенциалов относят также: специальные зажимы, с помощью которых сторонние проводящие части присоединяют к проводникам уравнивания потенциалов; детали и конструкции, предназначенные для крепления проводников уравнивания потенциалов к стенам, полам и потолкам; некоторые проводящие части электроустановки здания и проводящие элементы здания; открытые и сторонние проводящие части и др.
